Artists

In Los Angeles, many artistic people live with the stress of juggling life, high-pressure jobs and the creative

process. I tend to work with a lot of writers, actors, comedians, editors and other creative professionals and feel a deep affinity for the personalities that come with this work. As an artist myself, and a psychoanalytically oriented therapist my approach to working with patients is both creative and collaborative.

Heartbreak

"We are never so defenseless against suffering as when we love"

-Sigmund Freud

Grief, particularly resulting from a death or break up, is traumatic and ego-shattering. It's easy to get stuck in obsession, numbing out, depression or isolation when your heart is broken.  While those ways of living help you survive the initial pain of the loss, the prevent you from showing up for your life and the people in it in a meaningful way. Therapy is place to productively open up the painful feelings, give them a safe home, and regain balance. This helps you to return to your life, heal and be available for yourself and others.
